The Eagle is a Grade II listed pub in central Cambridge that opened in 1667 and is most famous for being where Watson and Crick announced they had “discovered the secret to life.”

Don’t leave without checking out the back room and bar; the ceiling is covered with graffiti from WWII Airmen. Today, airmen from squadrons around the world leave stickers of their official patch on the walls.
Order at the bar and get a beer while you’re up there, because here, the food’s the thing, and they’ll bring your meal to you in their own sweet time. The point is to sit back and enjoy.
