GENERAL INFORMATION
Mount Fuji is the tallest and most infamous mountain in Japan, standing at 3,776 meters (12,389 feet). This nearly perfectly shaped volcano has been worshipped as a sacred mountain for centuries. It last erupted in 1707. Clouds and poor visibility often block the view, so count yourself lucky if you see it on a clear day.
