GENERAL INFORMATION

A former power station, the Tate Modern now houses contemporary art across two huge buildings. Permanent collections are free and include works from Warhol, Dali, Bridget Riley, Louise Bourgeois, Matisse, and Picasso. Artists such as Ai Wei Wei regularly take over the Turbine Hall with an immersive temporary exhibition.

Insider Tip

The huge Turbine Hall always has a fun and free interactive temporary exhibition. And there's a superb panoramic view of London from the tenth story of the Blavatnik Building.
