This big square in the centre of London has a column with a statue of Admiral Nelson on top, huge lion statues and fountains. Londoners congregate here for protests and celebrations.

This is literally the center of London: a plaque on the corner of the Strand and Charing Cross Road marks the spot from which distances on U.K. signposts are measured.
